Congleton Borough Council has been replaced by Cheshire East Council from 1st April 2009

Due to Local Government Reorganisation in Cheshire, Congleton Borough Council ceased to exist from midnight on 31st March 2009.
From 1st April 2009 Congleton Borough residents are serviced by Cheshire East Council. Congleton Borough Council web pages will no longer be updated, so please check the Cheshire East website (http://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk) for the most up to date information on services provided by your new Council.

The Borough Councillors and Borough Council Staff would like to thank all the residents of Congleton for their support and patronage over the past thirty-five years. We wish the new local government authority every success for the future and the citizens of Congleton a healthy, prosperous and peaceful future.
